Getting Around (no car)
🎟️ Transit
SUMA card — rechargeable, covers metro + tram + bus. Buy at any metro machine. Kids cheap/free.
Aragón = lines 5, 7, 9. Line 5 runs straight to the airport and toward the beach/port.
Cabify & Uber both work here — good for the Albufera return or a tired-toddler bailout.
Cercanías trains from Estació del Nord reach Sagunto, Xàtiva & Gandia — under an hour, no booking.
Turia Gardens + City of Arts are flat and stroller-friendly.
🍽️ Food worth planning around
Real paella is lunch by the sea — do it at El Palmar (Albufera) or beachfront, not old-town dinner.
Horchata + fartons — Mercado de Colón (near you) or Horchatería Daniel in Alboraya.
Mercado Central — one of Europe's great food markets; worth it just for snacks.
Book This Week
Oceanogràfic — buy standalone tickets on oceanografic.org, booked early (dynamic pricing; weekday slots are cheaper). Adult ≈ €34–39, child 4–12 ≈ €25–29.
Skip the combo ticket — it only saves money across consecutive days, and our science days are spread out. The Hemisfèric + Science Museum are just ~€8–9 each as walk-ups, so add them on the day if the kids are keen.
Reserve a FREE ticket for Rohan (under 4). Any kid under 4 is free; 4–12 is the child rate — check Vera & Xavi.
Nothing else needs reserving — keep it loose around the heat and naps.
